MEET THE FILMMAKERS
Traverse Cinema Studio, founded by Thomas Kolicko, brings together a dedicated team of documentary filmmakers passionate about the outdoors and character-driven storytelling. Kolicko serves as Executive Producer and Creative Director, also directing select films and shows in our slate.
Our productions typically involve small, agile crews of 3-5 members in the field. Most of our films and shows have 12 or less collaborators. We collaborate with a close network of trusted film professionals and artists, tailoring each team to the unique demands of every title.

Thomas Kolicko is a Documentary Filmmaker, Adventurer, Photographer, Film Professor, and Founder of Traverse, based in the Eastern Colorado Rockies. With a professional career spanning more than 18 years, Kolicko has directed, shot, and produced non-fiction films and episodic shows that have been featured worldwide on platforms such as Netflix, National Geographic, Amazon Prime, Alamo Drafthouse, and Outdoor Channel.

We receive numerous internship and PA requests, as well as many inquiries from individuals interested in camera work. While we'd love to work with as many passionate people as possible, we carefully select based on project needs and team fit. When considering new collaborators, we look for:
A tenacious, unwavering passion for film
Humility and hunger to learn
Original work(s) you've created and produced
How well do you fit with our crew (we usually do one or two test shoots to check for crew mojo)
Portfolio presentation and personality fit over traditional resumes
Ability to listen well and be easily trainable
